Founding of the Dresden Section and initial considerations for building a mountain hut in the Tyrolean Alps.

Opening of the hut as the first refuge hut in the Stubai Valley and the twentieth hut of the German and Austrian Alpine Club

April 1875

Opening of a new hut building at the current location, replacing the old hut which had become far too small

September 1887

Expansion of the dining areas

The Dresden Alpine Club sections are removed from the association register in Dresden

1946

1945-1956

Administration of the hut by Austrian administrative bodies (trusteeship)

The Dresden section, re-established in 1953 with its headquarters in Wuppertal, takes over the administration of the hut in agreement with the Austrian authorities

1956

Renovation of the Dresdner Huette, especially the sanitary facilities

1965

Reacquisition of the Dresdner Huette from the öAV or DAV

1967

1968

Expansion of the longhouse and the extension

The Dresdner Huette gains neighbors as the Stubai Glacier cable car begins operation

1973

Expansion of the dining areas and the storage and kitchen areas

1990

Conversion of the large mattress dormitory into modern room accommodations, installation of fire protection systems, and construction of a fire-safe staircase

2002

2006

Installation of a central block storage heating system

Renovation of the sleeping quarters, the tenant's apartment, the drying room and ski storage, as well as expansion of all fire safety installations as per official requirements.

2008

Renovation of the entire kitchen as per official requirements, lease and renovation of the "Zollhuette"

2012

2013

Conversion of the "Fernau-Stadl"

Conversion of the serving area (masonry) and salad buffet with the establishment of the "Tiroler Stube"

Completion with interior finishing of the serving area
